Summary: The complainant has requested information relating to the decision of a recruitment interview panel, including details of individual candidates- performance. Farnham Town Council (the -council-) provided the complainant with information relating to their own performance as a candidate and refused the remaining information under section 40(2) of the FOIA, the exemption for personal data. The Commissioner-s decision is that the public authority failed to respond to the request in time and breached section 10(1) of the FOIA and that the council has correctly applied section 40(2) of the FOIA to the withheld information. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps.
Section of Act/EIR & Finding: FOI 10 - Complaint Upheld, FOI 40 - Complaint Not upheld
