Summary: The complainant submitted a request to Cambridgeshire Constabulary (the Constabulary) for the name and address of the partner of the firm of solicitors who had accompanied / acted for individuals who may have been interviewed in relation to a particular incident. The Constabulary refused to confirm or deny whether it held the requested information on the basis of section 40(5) of FOIA (the personal data exemption) and section 30(3) of FOIA (the investigations exemption). The Commissioner is satisfied that the Constabulary are entitled to refuse to confirm or deny whether it holds the requested information on the basis of section 40(5).
