Summary: The complainant requested information held by the Cabinet Office about its handling of an earlier request for information he had made to it. Despite the Information Commissioner-™s (the Commissioner-™s) intervention the Cabinet Office has failed to respond fully to the request. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the Cabinet Office has breached section 10(1) and 17(3) of the FOIA. The Commissioner requires the Cabinet Office to respond to the complainant-™s request by communicating the outcome of its public interest considerations. If the Cabinet Office has concluded that the public interest favours disclosure, the Commissioner requires the Cabinet Office to disclose the information that it has identified as falling within the scope of the request.
