The complainant has requested information about former pupils of the Boulevard Nautical School, Kingston upon Hull. East Riding of Yorkshire Council (‘the Council’) cited the exemption under section 40 of the FOIA (personal data) and withheld the information. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council has correctly applied this exemption and does not require it to take any further steps.
