The complainant requested information about Law Officers’ advice given to the UK government in relation to its decision to enter into military action in Kosovo in 1999. The AGO withheld the information, citing section 35(1)(c) (Law Officers’ advice). The Commissioner’s decision is that the Attorney General’s Office has applied section 35(1)(c) appropriately. The Commissioner does not require the Attorney General’s Office to take any steps. This decision notice is currently under appeal to the Tribunal.
