8 June 2015, Central government
The complainant requested copies of correspondence between officials and the Secretary to the Sir John Chilcot led Iraq Inquiry. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was entitled to rely on the exemptions at sections 22(1), 35(1)(a) and 40(2) FOIA to withhold information within the scope of the request. The Commissioner however finds the public authority in breach of section 17(1)(b) FOIA. No steps required.
