The complainant has requested information about Cheshire Constabulary’s engagement with a local community group. Cheshire Constabulary refused to comply with the request because it considered it vexatious under section 14(1) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that Cheshire Constabulary has correctly relied on section 14(1) of the FOIA to refuse the request. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken. This decision notice is currently under appeal to the Tribunal.
