8 March 2016, Central government
The complainant has requested from the Cabinet Office information about spending over £25,000. It refused to provide it citing section 22 (information intended for future publication) as its basis for doing so. It upheld this at internal review. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Cabinet Office was not entitled to rely on section 22 as a basis for refusing to provide this information. However, given that it has now published the requested information, no steps are required.
