8 September 2016, Local government (District council)
The complainant has requested a copy of a report, meeting notes and minutes relating to a meeting attended by members of Shaftesbury Town Council and a member of North Dorset Council relating to a complaint made about him by members of staff at Shaftesbury Town Council. Shaftesbury Town Council provided the majority of the information under the Data Protection Act, however North Dorset Council said that it held no information in response to the request. The Commissioner’s decision is that on a balance of probabilities, North Dorset Council was correct to state that it holds no relevant information falling within the scope of the request. The Commissioner does not require the council to take any steps.
