The complainant requested fire safety information relating to a named business premises at a specified address. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service ultimately refused to disclose the information citing section 40(2) of the FOIA (personal information). The Commissioner’s decision is that Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was entitled to rely on that section to withhold the requested information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision.
