Barnet London Borough Council

The complainant has requested information about the sale of a particular piece of land. London Borough of Barnet (‘the Council’) refused to comply with the request under regulation 12(4)(b) of the EIR (manifestly unreasonable request). The Commissioner’s decision is that: The request is manifestly unreasonable under regulation 12(4)(b), by reason of being a vexatious request, and the public interest favours maintaining the exception. The Commissioner does not require the Council to take any steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.

EIR 12(4)(b): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: fer0724242
