Cleveland Fire Brigade

The complainant requested information relating to the precise location of fire hydrants within the Hartlepool Boundary. Cleveland Fire Brigade refused to provide the requested information citing section 24(1) of the FOIA (national security). The Commissioner’s decision is that Cleveland Fire Brigade was entitled to rely on section 24(1) to refuse to disclose the requested information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision.
