Coventry University

The complainant has requested Coventry University (the university) to disclose expenses information for members of the leadership team between 2012 and 2017. The university refused to comply with the request citing section 12 of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the university is entitled to rely on section 12 of the FOIA. However, the Commissioner has found the university in breach of section 10 and 16 of the FOIA. The Commissioner requires the university to provide appropriate advice and assistance to the complainant as far as it would be reasonable to do so in accordance with its obligations under section 16 of the FOIA.
