Information Commissioner's Office

The complainant has requested a full unredacted copy of an ICO audit report into the DVLAs data protection practices. The ICO refused the request on the basis of section 31, 40 and 44 of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the section 31(1)(g) exemption with section 31(2)(a) and (c) is engaged and the public interest favours maintaining the exemption and withholding the requested information. The Commissioner therefore requires no steps to be taken.

FOI 31: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: IC-39673
