Avon and Somerset Metropolitan Police

The complainant has requested information from Avon and Somerset Metropolitan Police (“the Police”) regarding crime reference numbers/incident numbers made by a missing person, in the year leading up to them going missing. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Police are entitled to rely on section 40(5) to refuse to confirm or deny that it holds the information. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any further action in this matter.
