Chief Constable of Surrey Police

The complainant requested from Surrey Police information in relation to landlord/tenant disputes. Surrey Police relied on section 12(1) of the FOIA to refuse to comply with the complainant’s request as it considered the cost of doing so would exceed the appropriate limit. The Commissioner’s decision is that Surrey Police has correctly cited section 12(1) FOIA in response to the request. The Commissioner does not require Surrey Police to take any steps as a result of this decision notice.

FOI 12(1): Complaint not upheld FOI 16: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: IC-72710
