The complainant has requested information relating to the 1971 McGurk’s bar bombing. The National Archives disclosed the majority of information that was requested but relied upon section 38 (health and safety) and section 40(2) (personal information) to withhold certain information. The Commissioner’s decision is that TNA is entitled to rely upon section 38 to withhold the information in question. The Commissioner does not require TNA to take any steps.
