South Cambridgeshire District Council

The complainant has requested information on local Conservation Area Appraisals and related material. South Cambridgeshire District Council (‘SCDC’) referred the complainant to some information on the general subject, which was in the public domain. However, it refused the request, citing regulation 12(4)(b) (manifestly unreasonable request) of the EIR. The Commissioner’s decision is that SCDC was entitled to rely on regulation 12(4)(b) to refuse the request. The Commissioner requires no steps as a result of this decision.

EIR 12(4)(b): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 168511
