Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police

The complainant submitted a request to the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police (“Northamptonshire Police”) for information relating to allegations of child sexual abuse and/or exploitation related to the Jehovah’s Witness organisation. The Commissioner’s decision is that Northamptonshire Police correctly relied on sections 30(3) and 31(3) of FOIA to refuse to confirm or deny whether it held information falling within the scope of the request. The Commissioner does not require Northamptonshire Police to take any further steps.

FOI 31(3): Complaint not upheld FOI 30: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 171077
