Charity Commission for England and Wales

The complainant has requested information about complaints received by the Charity Commission for England and Wales (“the Commission”) about the Animal Protection Services (“the charity”). The Commission disclosed some information but refused to provide the remainder of the information relying on section 31(law enforcement) of FOIA as its basis for doing so. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Commission has correctly applied section 31(1)(g) of FOIA and the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. He does not require the Commission to take any further steps.

FOI 31(1)(g): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 176604
