Hampshire Constabulary

The complainant requested from Hampshire Constabulary information in relation to an incident which occurred in police custody. The Commissioner’s decision is that Hampshire Constabulary correctly relied on Section 40(5B)(a)(i) of FOIA to refuse to confirm or deny whether it held information falling within the scope of the request. The Commissioner does not require Hampshire Constabulary to take any steps as a result of this decision notice.
