Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority

The complainant has requested information about MPs’ staff turnover. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority disclosed information in the form of an anonymised dataset, with some information removed under the exemption provided by section 40(2) (Personal information) on the basis that it would reveal the personal data of third parties. The Commissioner’s decision is that that IPSA has correctly applied section 40(2). The Commissioner does not require further steps.

FOI 40(2): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 219998
