Home Office

The complainant has requested, from the Home Office, details of any assistance provided by the UK to Hungary to support its border security or immigration activities in 2022. The Home Office would neither confirm nor deny holding any information, citing sections 27(4) (International relations) and 31(3) (Law enforcement) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Home Office was entitled to rely on section 31(3) and that the public interest favours maintaining the exclusion. No steps are required.

FOI 31: Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 237717
