Vale of White Horse District Council

The complainant requested information about the location of CCTV cameras in a given area. Vale of White Horse District Council (“the council”) refused the request on the basis that section 31(1)(a) of FOIA applied (prevention and detection of crime). The Commissioner’s decision is that the council was correct to apply section 31(1)(a) of FOIA to withhold the information. The Commissioner does not require the council to take any steps.

FOI 31(1)(a): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 241352
