Kent Police

The complainant has requested vehicle registration information on decommissioned vehicles disposed at auction in both 2021 and 2022. Kent Police provided some information within the scope of the request but withheld the remainder citing section 31(1)(a) of FOIA – law enforcement The Commissioner’s decision is that section 31(1)(a) is engaged and that the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner does not require further steps.
