Lancashire Constabulary

The complainant requested specified evidence presented by a named police officer at the inquest into the death of a specified individual. Lancashire Constabulary refused to provide the requested information citing section 32(1)(a) of FOIA (a subsection of the exemption for court records). The Commissioner’s decision is that Lancashire Constabulary was entitled to withhold the requested information by virtue of section 32(1)(a) of FOIA. No steps are required as a result of this notice.
