Ministry of Defence

The complainant submitted a request to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) seeking a copy of his late father’s service record. The MOD refused the request on the basis of section 14(2) (repeated requests) as it had previously responded to an earlier such request and stated no information was held. The Commissioner’s decision is that the MOD are entitled to refuse the request on the basis of section 14(2) of FOIA.
