Ministry of Justice

The complainant has made a series of requests relating to particular court orders, as well as the identity of, and oaths taken by, judges who sit in Courts in the North East of England. The Ministry of Justice (“MOJ”) relied on section 14(1) (vexatious requests) of FOIA to refuse the requests. The Commissioner’s decision is that the requests were vexatious and therefore the MOJ was entitled to rely upon section 14(1) of FOIA to refuse them. The Commissioner does not require the MOJ to take any further steps.

FOI 14(1): Complaint not upheld

Decision notice: 317819
