Summary
Previously proceedings before the comptroller to correct an alleged mistake were stayed pending resolution of a parallel revocation action in the Patents County Court. Subsequently, the revocation action was discontinued and the opponent (GMC) withdrew its opposition to the correction request and agreed to lifting the stay. The proprietor (Makita) asked for the stay to be lifted so that the request for correction could proceed. The hearing officer saw no reason why the correction proceedings should not now continue and lifted the stay.
