Summary

This decision concerns an application for revocation of a patent by the proprietor of the patent. The patent had already been allowed to lapse about two years beforehand, and no-one opposed the application to revoke. The proprietor said that the patent should be revoked on the grounds of prior art that came to light at the European Patent Office (EPO). The Hearing Officer agreed, and ordered that the patent be revoked.
