Summary
A request to amend the claimant’s statement of grounds was opposed by the defendants. The hearing officer exercised his discretion in line with the overriding principle to deal with the case justly and allowed the amendment. A further request by the defendant to strike out certain aspects of the statement of grounds and to provide summary judgment was refused.
