Summary
The invention concerned a web-based system for evaluating a person’s language translation skills by providing written and oral examinations to the person, collating and evaluating the examinations, and providing the person with examination results and a certificate if they pass both examinations. The hearing officer found that the invention claimed in all claims was excluded from patentability as a method of doing business as such and a program for a computer as such. He therefore refused the application.
