Summary
The application describes a network/web based commerce platform for enhancing trade and for improving an on-line interactive experience and for amplifying and facilitating commerce. The platform has a central hub/server/resource that is accessible by a user interface, a developer interface and a supplier interface. A developer provides designated activities for user participation i.e. a game. The supplier interface allows a supplier to offer content, goods and/or services to the developer for use in developing the designated activities for the user. The developer can engineer the activity to promote access to certain content, goods and/or services for the user based on their profile.
The hearing officer rejected the applicant-™s submissions that the invention made a technical contribution. The hearing officer found the contributions of the independent claims to be excluded from patentability as a scheme, rule or method for doing business and a computer program, as such. The application was refused under section 18(3).
