Summary

The invention relates to a spacecraft constructed to test the validity of a warp-drive hypothesis or theory. Accepting the applicant-™s arguments that the warping of spacetime to allow a spacecraft to move at subluminal velocities was mathematically possible, the Hearing Officer found that not only were the claims unclear but the specification contained insufficient detail to allow a skilled person to construct a spacecraft that would operate in such a way. The application was refused.
