Summary
The claimants, Mr Michael Stephens and Mr Andrew Bartlett believed that thy should be named as co-inventors and co-proprietor of the patent alongside Mr Anthony Mallows. The patent relates to a flexible seal for use with an appliance, such as a bath, shower tray or work surface, to prevent water passing down between the appliance and an adjacent wall. The patent provides a development of an earlier seal devised by Mr Mallows. After considering the evidence the Hearing Officer concluded that Mr Bartlett and Mr Stephens were indeed co-inventors and co-proprietors.
