Summary
The patent relates to methods of consolidating radioactive materials by -hot isostatic pressing- (HIP). It was held that the patent was not entitled to its priority date due to disclosure of the invention in two earlier relevant applications one of which was a US provisional application. The loss of priority resulted in the patent lacking novelty in respect of the documents that had formed the basis of its claim to priority. The patent was therefore found invalid and revoked
