Title and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Postponement of Elections and Reorganisation) (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 … Commencement …
Interpretation
2. — (1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954
1954 c.33
shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order (except Article 5(2)) as it applies to an Act of the Parliament of Northern Ireland.

Electoral Law Act (Northern Ireland) 1962 have the same meanings in that Article as in that Act.
