Financial Provisions (Northern Ireland) Order 1976

Title and Commencement
1. — (1) This Order may be cited as the Financial Provisions (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.
(2) Commencement
Interpretation
2. — (1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954
1954 c.33
shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) In this Order the expression “ statutory provision ” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1( f ) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954.

Fee for certificate of birth, marriage
[ , civil partnership ] or death for purposes of certain Acts
15. [ (1) ] The fee payable under section 10 of the Savings Banks Act 1887

for the issue of a certificate of birth, marriage
[ , civil partnership ] or death for the purposes of the Acts relating to the National Savings Bank,
... and government annuities shall be 5p or such larger sum as the
[ Department of Finance and Personnel may by order prescribe ] and, accordingly,
… residue amends s.10 of 1887 c.40
[ (2) No order shall be made under paragraph (1) unless a draft of the order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Assembly. ]
Art.16 repeals in part s.188 of 1878 c.52.
Art. 17 substitutes s.1(3)(a) of 1961 c.18 (NI).
