The Visiting Forces (Royal New Zealand Air Force) Order, 1940, contained provisions requiring approval by the Governor-General of New Zealand of punishment by death of members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force attached to the Royal Air Force, on conviction by court-martial under the Air Force Act. This Order substitutes appropriate references to the Air Force Act, 1955.
