Whereas Her Majesty is authorised to make provision by Order in Council under the
And Whereas such provision was made by the
And Whereas it is now deemed expedient to amend the principal Order:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in that behalf by the Act or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. There shall be added at the end of Article 6 of the principal Order the following:-
2. There shall be inserted at the end of the third line of Article 14 of the principal Order after the words "by the applicant or his predecessor in title" the following:-
"by reason of one or more of the following, that is to say:-"
3. This Order shall come into operation on 9th April 1964 and may be cited as the Foreign Compensation (Roumania) (Amendment) Order 1964.

This Order amends the Foreign Compensation (Roumania) Order 1961. Its purposes are:-
to enable the provisional determination of certain claims to be made by one member of the Foreign Compensation Commission instead of by not less than two members; and
to clarify the provisions of Article 14 of the Foreign Compensation (Roumania) Order 1961 concerning the assessment of claims arising out of the Treaty of Peace with Roumania.
