Whereas by the
And Whereas the said Agreement and Protocol have been ratified by the Government of Iceland on the 4th day of December 1964 and have come into operation as regards that Government on the 1st day of January 1965:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the said section 64 of the National Insurance Act 1946, and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. This Order, which may be cited as the National Insurance (European Interim Agreement) Amendment Order 1965, shall be read as one with the principal Order.
2. At the end of Schedule 3 to the principal Order (which Schedule specifies the Governments by which the said Agreement and Protocol have been ratified or acceded to, as the case may be, and the respective dates of such ratification or accession and of the coming into operation of the said Agreement and Protocol as regards those Governments) there shall be added-
(a)at the foot of column (1)-"Iceland",
(b)at the foot of column (2)-"4 December 1964",
(c)at the foot of column (3)-"1 January 1965".

This Order further amends Schedule 3 to the National Insurance (European Interim Agreement) Order 1959 by adding the Government of Iceland to the names of Governments ratifying or acceding to the European Interim Agreement on social security relating to old age, invalidity and survivors, and a Protocol, dated the 11th December 1953.
