The Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1978

16th October 1978

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 89(3) of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978, I hereby make the following Order:-

1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1978.

(2) In the case of any provision specified in the Schedule to this Order which (by virtue of section 90(2) of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978) extends to Scotland nothing in this Order shall bring the provision into force in its application to Scotland.

2. The provisions of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order (which relate to the matters specified in column 2 thereof) shall come into force on 20th November 1978.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings into force on 20th November 1978 the provisions of the Domestic Proceedings and Magistrates' Courts Act 1978 mentioned in the Schedule to this Order. The Order does not affect Scotland.
