The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under section 38(2) of the Oil and Gas (Enterprise) Act 1982, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Oil and Gas (Enterprise) Act 1982 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1982.
2. The provisions of the Oil and Gas (Enterprise) Act 1982 specified in Schedule 1 hereto shall come into force on 18th August 1982.
3. The provisions of the Oil and Gas (Enterprise) Act 1982 specified in Schedule 2 hereto shall come into force on 1st October 1982.

This Order brings further provisions of the Oil and Gas (Enterprise) Act 1982 into force. The provisions specified in Schedule 1 to the Order (comprising the remaining provisions of Part II (gas) and related provisions in Schedules 3 and 4) are brought into force on 18th August 1982 and those specified in Schedule 2 (comprising the remaining provisions of Part III (petroleum licences), certain provisions of Part IV (offshore activities) and Part V (miscellaneous and general) and related provisions in Schedules 2 to 4) on 1st October, 1982.
The following provisions of the Act have been brought into force by a commencement order made before the date of this Order:-
