WATER, ENGLAND AND WALES WATER SUPPLY, SCOTLAND WATER, NORTHERN IRELAND

The Secretary of State, being satisfied that the duties of the National Water Council under paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 2 to the Water Act 1983 have been discharged, in exercise of his powers under paragraph 3(2) of that Schedule and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following order:-
1. This order may be cited as the Water Act 1983 (Dissolution of the National Water Council) Order 1983.
2. On 1st January 1984 the National Water Council shall cease to exist.
