In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 8(2) of the Immigration Act 1971(1), I hereby make the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Exemption from Control) (Amendment) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 22nd December 1985.
2. In Article 4 of the Immigration (Exemption from Control) Order 1972(2) for paragraph (k) there shall be substituted the following paragraphs:-
"(k)any person on whom any immunity from suit and legal process is conferred by the European Communities (Immunities and Privileges of the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organisation) Order 1985(3) (which confers certain immunities and privileges on the representatives and officers of the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organisation);
(l)any member of the family of a person exempted under any of the preceding paragraphs forming part of his household.".

This Order amends Article 4 of the Immigration (Exemption from Control) Order 1972 so as to exempt from immigration control (except in relation to deportation) those representatives and officers of the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organisation ("NASCO") on whom the European Communities (Immunities and Privileges of the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organisation) confers immunity from suit and legal process. Family members forming part of the household of NASCO representatives and officers are similarly exempted from immigration control.
