The Secretary of State for Transport, with the approval of the Treasury and in exercise of his powers under Article 35 of the Hovercraft (General) Order 1972(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:-
1. The Regulations may be cited as the Hovercraft (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 25th February 1987.
2. The Schedule to the Hovercraft (Fees) Regulations 1985(2) shall be amended as follows:-
(1) In paragraph 10, in sub-paragraphs (1) and (2) for "£41.50" there shall be substituted "£45.50".
(2) In paragraph 11, for "£41.50" there shall be substituted "£45.50".

These Regulations amend the Hovercraft (Fees) Regulations 1985 by prescribing increased fees payable to the Secretary of State for the issue of operating permits for hovercraft, and exemptions, under the Hovercraft (General) Order 1972. The increase is of 9.64 per cent.
