The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 73(a), (f) and (g) and 74(1) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Grants for Training of Teachers and Community Education Workers) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 22nd March 1987.
2. For the Schedule to the Education (Grants for Training of Teachers and Community Education Workers) (Scotland) Regulations 1986(2) there shall be substituted the Schedule to these Regulations.

Management for promoted staff in schools.
Multicultural education and anti-racist perspectives in relation to school education in Scotland.
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Education (Grants for Training of Teachers and Community Education Workers) (Scotland) Regulations 1986.
The Schedule to the 1986 Regulations lists subject areas in respect of which grants may be paid under the 1986 Regulations to enable teachers or community education workers to attend courses. These Regulations substitute a new list of subject areas reflecting the courses now available.
