INTERNATIONAL IMMUNITIES AND PRIVILEGES

19th December 1987
In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 9 of the Diplomatic and Consular Premises Act 1987(1), I hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Diplomatic and Consular Premises Act 1987 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1987.
2. The provisions of the Diplomatic and Consular Premises Act 1987 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 1st January 1988.

Provisions of the Act | Subject matter of provisions |

This Order brings into force on 1st January 1988:
section 1 of the Diplomatic and Consular Premises Act 1987 (which provides for the acquisition and loss by land of diplomatic or consular status);
sections 2, 3 and 4 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Act (which provide for the vesting of former diplomatic or consular premises in the Secretary of State and his duty to sell such premises);
section 5 of the Act (interpretation); and
section 8 of the Act (financial provision).
