HIGHWAYS, ENGLAND AND WALES

The (A64) Leeds-York-Scarborough Trunk Road (Copmanthorpe Grade Separated Junction) (Trunking) Order 1987

22nd December 1987

Coming into force

29th January 1988

The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:

1. The lengths of highway described in -

(a)Schedule 1 to this Order (hereinafter referred to as "the link road"); and

(b)Schedule 2 to this Order (hereinafter referred to as "the slip roads"); and shown by striped hatching on the deposited plan, shall become trunk roads as from the date on which this Order comes into force.

2. In this Order -

(1) All measurements of distance are measured along the route of relevant highway;

(2) (i) "the deposited plan" means the plan contained in the plan folio numbered HA10/YHRO6 marked "The (A64) Leeds-York-Scarborough Trunk Road (Copmanthorpe Grade Separated Junction) (Trunking) Order 1987", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3EB;

(ii)"the Trunk Road" means the (A64) Leeds-York-Scarborough Trunk Road.

3. This Order shall come into force on 29th January 1988 and may be cited as the (A64) Leeds-York-Scarborough Trunk Road (Copmanthorpe Grade Separated Junction) (Trunking) Order 1987.

EXISTING HIGHWAYS PROPOSED TO BE TRUNK ROADS

SCHEDULE 1THE LINK ROAD

The 2 way link road, bridging the Trunk Road, from the south exit of the A1237 Copmanthorpe Roundabout (marked "A" on the deposited plan) for about 325 metres in a southerly then westerly direction to its junction with the slip roads described at items 3 and 4 of Schedule 2 to this Order (marked "B" on the deposited plan).

SCHEDULE 2THE SLIP ROADS

1. The exit slip road from the eastbound carriageway of the Trunk Road for about 120 metres to the south west entrance of the A1237 Copmanthorpe Roundabout; this slip road is marked "1" on the deposited plan.

2. The access slip road to the eastbound carriageway of the Trunk Road for about 40 metres from the south east exit of the A1237 Copmanthorpe Roundabout; this slip road is marked "2" on the deposited plan.

3. The access slip road to the westbound carriageway of the Trunk Road for about 40 metres from its junction with the link road (marked "B" on the deposited plan); this slip road is marked "3" on the deposited plan.

4. The exit slip road from the westbound carriageway of the Trunk Road for about 40 metres to its junction with the link road (marked "B" on the deposited plan); this slip road is marked "4 " on the deposited plan.
