The Welsh Water Authority (Extension of Operation of Byelaws) Order 1988

23rd July 1988

The Secretary of State for the Environment as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to section 19(6) of the Water Act 1945(1) and section 59(1) (2) of that Act and now vested in them (3), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:-

1. This Order may be cited as the Welsh Water Authority (Extension of Operation of Byelaws) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 23rd July 1988.

2. The byelaws made on 24th July 1978 by the Welsh Water Authority under section 17 of the Water Act 1945, which byelaws would, by virtue of section 19(6)(a) of the Water Act 1945 cease to have effect on 23rd July 1988, shall remain in force until 23rd July 1990.
